The marks laid on the bright surface,
They were always meant to be there.
Your fingers were consistent,
The way your hands slowly moved.
I peered through the keyhole,
Only to be instantly surprised.
You looked at my directions,
You marked your skin with the ink,
They were scars of your lost hopes;
Your faith slowly seeped into pores.
It stung you; I saw your pain.
All those lost dreams, now you end.
Your pores slowly absorbed,
What you once thought was promised.

  3. Scars of your lost hopes is so so sad. As is this poem.

    But it's magical, of course. This poem.

    I like the peering through the keyhole image too, very neat.

  5. Your images are subtle... yet strong. It's so hard to achieve that. I totally look up to your writing Erick... your talent is amazing :)

    seems like something so menial no one would pay attention to it... the way someone's hands move... but the way it is focused into... is beautiful.

  7. Aura, by the way, this was inspired from the lines you wrote. It was like a seed, and flourished into this poem!
