There are words that destroy,
They lie within every mind,
They know the way to claim.
Many want to play victoriously,
Never wanting the sadness,
Always wanting to keep it all.
Being taught to think in uniformity,
One lacks the necessity to grow,
At such an early age then,
Our being is chained to it.
Losing “small mind” will free,
The barriers that held you back.

    Yes, there are words that destroy within every mind. Hadn't thought about that, but so very true. But, as your poem goes on, you indicate one CAN free oneself of these barriers. Write on, Erick; and have a Merry Christmas!
